Michele Leo is 20 years old and graduated from Westbook High School in 1996. She started racing as soon as she got her driver's license. At the age of 16, her first race car was an AMC Hornet appropriately enough named "The Sting" that traversed the quarter mile track in 10.19 seconds at 127 MPH. "The Sting" wasn't fast enough for Michele, so her Father, Ralph Leo, put her in a 1964 Super Gas Corvette. This car runs 9.8 seconds at 135 MPH in the 1/4 mile. If her Dad would let her she'd be going faster! Michele has been a member of NHRA for 3 years now.
Rachel was born on 2/1/79. She graduated from Westbrook High School in 1997. For the 1998 season, Rachel will not be racing. She has taken the year off to compete in bodybuilding contest. Rachel has been training for over 2 years. Her trainer is Ed Libby from Westbrook, Me. He has been training her for the past year. Rachel has been making a lot of gains with the help of Ed. Rachel's diet is supplied through Mike Foley of Apex. Your diet is almost more important then lifting itself. Rachel just received her motorcycle permit and has plans of buying a Harley Davidson Fat boy. Rachel would like to thank John Gendron for pushing her to be #1.

What's up for 1998?
Michele will be following the New England Dragway Super Eliminator points program. She plans to run a couple of NHRA Northeast Division Federal Mogul Races in order to earn enough credits to be able to compete in the Keystone Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pennsylvania in September.
Rachel has decided to compete in body building competitions for the 1998. She plans to appear a Conn. show on March 15, and along with that she will be competing in the Miss Maine Body building competition on April 25.
Michele and Rachel will also be appearing in NHRA's magazine, "National Dragster" volume 8. DON'T MISS THEM!
